Sholohova Marina.
She was born in the city of Magadan on December 14, 1987 in a poor family. The family lived during the years of great and ambiguous changes in the economic and political structure of the USSR.
From early childhood, she strove to draw still lifes and from the age of 6 she was engaged in copying various illustrations, and while studying at a secondary school she copied reproductions from books, all school diaries were not a document, but a book with various drawings, for which she often heard comments from teachers.
In 1997, I tried to enter an art school, but, unfortunately, they did not accept me because of my age, and only a year later the doors of the school opened wide. In order to make fine art her life's work, in 2005 she entered the Suzdal Art Restoration School. Already during this period of time, he paints paintings to order.
St. Petersburg has always inspired with its beauty of architecture and great opportunities to study the paintings of great artists of different periods of time. The mother of the artist Sholokhova Liya Anatolyevna took her daughter to St. Petersburg on an excursion and it was already clear in advance that the next step in life would be to study in this city and in 2010 the artist enters the St. Petersburg University of Technology and Design in the department of arts and crafts and despite the time limit due to study, it turned out to paint paintings to order. After graduating from the university, he travels a lot around Russia, continuing his activities in the field of art, making paintings to order, which are in private collections in Russia and abroad, takes part in joint exhibitions, festivals and art fairs around the world.
Sholokhova Marina creates paintings in mixed styles of painting: cubism, realism, pop-art. The artist works on the theme of time - past, present and future. In his paintings, he touches on the theme of the past through the works of the old masters of the time and shows them in a modern form, laying a certain meaning so that the viewer can reflect on the composition. The theme of the present, shows through the images of everyday life. The theme of the future is shown through the transformation of their paintings into NFT digital art, setting their paintings in motion. From materials she uses oil and canvas, but sometimes she experiments with traditional materials and combines them with painting to show movement and life. Some canvases contain hidden words that are difficult to see with the naked eye; these words symbolize the meaning of the plot of the paintings. Admiring the paintings, you can see that the whole process is similar to picking up a mosaic, if the shape is not in its place, then the image will turn out wrong, this can be compared to the fact that a person’s life is like picking up a puzzle in which you can get confused, people are always on the lookout the right decision, by this I show through my canvases the search for a choice in a person’s life, who he really is, his attitude to the need to make the right choice and to taking responsibility for his life and the life of everything around him.
